Job Description
As our Akiya Content Creator, you’ll be the voice and visual storyteller of Old Houses Japan.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include: 📸 Visual Storytelling: Create stunning photos, videos, and reels of akiya properties, nearby towns, and the unique lifestyle they offer.
✍️ Content Creation: Write compelling blog posts, captions, and articles highlighting the history, restoration potential, and charm of these homes.
🎥 On-Site Shoots: Visit akiya properties to document their beauty and share real stories that inspire.
📱 Social Media Management: Collaborate with our marketing team to create shareable content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
🌟 Highlight Local Culture: Showcase the surrounding communities, traditions, and landscapes to give our audience a full picture of the akiya lifestyle.
💡 Inspire Creativity: Help buyers envision the possibilities for restoring and reimagining akiya homes.
Qualifications
Experience in content creation for social media, blogs, or video platforms.
Strong photography and videography skills 📸🎥 (drone experience is a bonus!).
Excellent storytelling and writing skills in English (Japanese proficiency is a plus!).
Familiarity with editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, or Canva.
Passion for Japanese culture, architecture, and rural revitalization 🌸.
Ability to travel within Japan for on-site content creation 🚂.
Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
